First-Friday Dance at D&W with The Carl Webb Band
April 6, 2018 @ 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
FreeThe Carl Web Band will play for the First Friday dance at D&W. The band—together for 13 years—is made up of songwriter, vocalist, guitarist Carl Webb; Tom Hull, vocals and bass guitar; Bob Tredlock (filling in for Bill DeMarse), harmony vocals, drums and other percussion; and Dan Giacobossi, saxophone. The dance is an outreach of The Salvation Army in the Tri Cities area. There is no admission charge but donations are thoroughly welcomed to fund further dances and the construction project of the Salvation Army of Grand Haven. Of the $1.1 million that Salvation Army set out to raise, only about $92,000 remains in either donations of pledges before a shovel can go into the dirt.
The dance will be held in the store’s café area with spillover dancing in the aisles. In addition to dancing, patrons are welcome to sit and enjoy the music and maybe buy a cup of coffee, a soft drink, and something to eat.
Last month’s dance brought in $690.
The Grand Haven D&W Fresh Market is at 1116 Robbins Road.
The Salvation Army has been active in Grand Haven since 1922 and works to help people with both the necessities of life and to enhance the quality of their lives. The Salvation Army facility is at 310 North DeSpelder. The phone number is 616.842.3380.
