Frank’s (Joe La Paglilia) mid-life funk is turned around when he receives a phone call from his dead mother. Divorced and unfulfilled\, real estate agent Frank Mollard can’t do anything right\, be it selling houses\, getting over the death of his mother\, or connecting with his teenage son. \nBut when he receives a call from an elderly woman who confuses him for her son\, Frank is thrown into her life and surprises himself by developing a close bond with her. SUMMARY:September’s First-Friday Dance at D&W
DESCRIPTION:The next First-Friday Dance at Grand Haven’s D&W Fresh Market will run from 7-10 p.m. September 6\, 2019.  The dance is an outreach of The Salvation Army in the Tri Cities area. \nThe dance will be held in the store’s café area with spillover dancing in the aisles. In addition to dancing\, patrons are welcome to sit and enjoy the music and maybe buy a cup of coffee\, a soft drink\, and something to eat. If the sun is bright dances and listeners might want to bring sunglasses; it’s bright in the café. \nThe Frank Eimer has been around the area since the 1960s as “Me and Dem Guys.” The band plays a mix of rock ’n’ roll\, country and the blues covers\, including tunes from the ’50s\, ’60s\, ’70s and ’80s. Members of the band include Eimer\, lead guitar\, John Jennings\, saxophones\, Tom Davis\, drums\, Fred Ploughman\, keyboards\, and steel guitarist Rick Barr. And everybody sings. Eimer and Jennings are in the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame. \nThe Grand Haven D&W Fresh Market is at 1116 Robbins Road. \nThe Salvation Army has been active in Grand Haven since 1922 and works to help people with both the necessities of life and to enhance the quality of their lives.  The Salvation Army facility is at 310 North DeSpelder.
